About Us

Etherstone emerged as an idea in early 2016, when Bogdan Gacic went out on a mission to recruit new members for a stoner metal project of his. He met Nikola at the University who, after hearing out Bogdan’s idea, accepted the offer and took up the position of the band’s vocalist. Not too long after, completely by chance at one of the local concerts, Nikola and Bogdan met and immediately recruited the remaining members of the band which included Stevan Miljkovic and Milan Rajic as guitarists. The drummer position was filled by Marko Radovanovic who was a long-term friend of Bogdan’s and thus the full line-up was complete.

The band started rehearsing immediately at the local studio Wild Cat and in January 2017, the band recorded their first single titled Epiphany. Not long after, the band recorded their first EP but, due to musical differences and other commitments towards work and university, most of the band went their separate ways. After a short break, Nikola recruited a full new line-up for the band which consisted of Petar Djordjevic and Andreja Milosavljevic on guitars, Stevan Jovanovic on bass and Filip Milosavljevic on drums.

During this time, the band released their first EP titled I(One) and started working and recording the material for their upcoming EP. Unfortunately, due to reasons previously mentioned, Andreja Milosavljevic left the band and was replaced by Aleksandar Ivkovic. The release of the second EP titled III(Three)achieved moderate success but once again, the turmoils raged within the band and due to having to commit to other obligations, Petar decided to leave the band on his own accord. This didn’t pose a huge setback for the band though, and Petar was quickly replaced by Nikola’s long-time friend Luka Jestrovic.

The lineup was complete once more and the band continued to rehearse at the local studio. After everything clicked and everybody were in for the long-haul, the band decided it was time to create an album. During the rehearsals, a lot of new material was created so the band arranged to start the recording of their debut album at the Wild Cat Studio in January 2020. The album is titled “The Missing Chapter” and is expected to be released by the end of 2020.

After the recording process for the album was completed, Stevan and Aleksandar decided to leave the band due to other commitments, however, the band kept going forward as Milan Rajic returned to the band as a lead guitarist while Mihailo Milisavljevic replaced Stevan on the bass guitar.

Upon the release of the band’s debut album, Milan moved to another city to focus on his personal life and other projects. His replacement Jana Cosic joined the band in March 2022.

In August 2022, Mihailo Milisavljevic departed from the band to pursue his education and moved to a different city. In September 2022, Andrej Vranic joined as the band’s new bass player. In July 2023, Jana left the band and Milan Rajic returned as the lead guitarist.
